I am so very very happy with this picture ;;

Lately I have been having a rather tough time. I'm getting retrenched from my job along with my boss and best friend, my mother has been into hospital, and I'm very very very sick from all the stress... and sickness...

Oh, and World Skills, did I mention World Skills?

So, to celebrate my impending financial doom, my friends Ema and James and Lucy and Amanda and Adrian decided to give me my Christmas presents early, which ment taking me to see Avenue Q on Friday night, and A Night in Fantasia on Saturday night!

It was one of the best weekends I've had this year!

Avenue Q was one of the best shows I have ever seen! Of course I know quite a few of the songs, we all did, but that did not dampen the mood.

... The puppet sex.... -shudders- Everyone was laughing and screaming and covering their faces and it was so so FUNNY but terrifying xD;

Best night ever! I hope I can go again with night_requiem and azurice !!



A Night In Fantasia was my first live concert with an orchestra and everything *o* I love orchestral music. There was music from Studio Ghibli and Gears of War, Death Note and Tsubasa Chronicles, the great score from Metal Gear Solid that was applauded by a group of entertaining fanboys over on the right hand side of the arena, and our favourites God Of War III and Prince of Persia!

Laputa, Castle in the Sky made me cry ;o;

It was such an enjoyable night! Although It would have been nice to hear less Western music and more Japanese, that's what we were there for!

I did manage to snag myself a CD, A Night in Fantasia 2005, which was packed full of Studio Ghibli music! Shame Lucy stole it from me before I got to listen to it xD I must get that back.

Ugh.

I'm feeling so... depressed and emo and horrible right now.

I should be at Ky's place, but her now pregnant, hormonal sister who is a bitch at the best of times, is taking her sweet time moving out. It would be a bit of  struggle to move places while you are pregnant, but she has a partner, and seriously, I think she needs to be more organised about these things. Ky was also roped into babysitting tonight, which again, is alright, it's her form of income, so she can eventually buy me pretty things she says, but why tonight? Of all the nights I was going to be there, it was tonight. I was really looking forward to seeing her, scratch that, I was rather ecstatic about seeing her. It's been like this... consuming ache or craving.

Also, how the hell do I not wake up from the infernal blasting full volume 'Investigation - Cornered (Variation)' from Pheonix Wright which is my ringtone, only to be woken by the quiet chime of my SMS alert?

So she left me a voice message, apologizing profusly about how she was calling so late, and what was happening, and how very very very sorry she was and how she would call me on Saturday.

She's getting quite good at that, you ask her to call, she calls, she says she will call, she calls (she may be like five hours late in calling but she does.)

I couldn't help it, I just started to cry, and I don't mean a little sniffle, I mean really cry, it may be the full week of everynight only having about two to three hours sleep, or the stress at work, or the threat of a competition looming, but there I was, 11:50 at night, listening to her voicemail she left me, absolutly crying my eyes out.

I'm glad my grandmother is quite deaf without her hearing aids, I wouldn't want her to hear that sad sound.

... I hope I sleep tonight.

Our biscuit machine at work, the machine that produces pretty much every single product of ours, broke down today. If Laurence doesn't get it fixed, we are well and truely fucked. Up the river without a paddle.... and a boat... and a life jacket..

Mum goes into hospital soon too... Why can't things get better?

I'm drawing a comic, I hope I get it done, I don't know how night_requiem  and azurice do it! It should only be a few pages, and I prefer to do things without text, but it's going to be in full color. I think I shall post the first panel.. and the WIP second..

Yes D: I believe they do, for weeks after my dog Sammy bit me when he was angry and sick, he would pad up quite shamefully to me and snuggle against my leg and lick the wound on my hand. He's never growled or bit or scratched me since D:

This, I can say, is so far the masterpiece of my career!

I have never been so proud of cake in my LIFE.

Here we have my first ever cake made for a real life customer. I was lucky enough to be given a blank slate, I was allowed to do anything I wished, but the woman hinted for dinosaurs. It was her husband's birthday, who was turning 40, but he wanted a kiddy cake. I think I achieved that, but put a more adult twist to it.

The cake is a chocolate mud cake, covered in dark chocolate ganache. Decorated with hand made dinosaur figures made out of RTR Icing, leaves with RTR and gold dust, hand veined and dusted of course! Finished with white chocolate writing (thanks to my lovely boss!) and our company ribbon.

I had EVER so much fun with this cake. Thanks to the lovely people at Iced Affair for hinting for me to use dry speghetti to keep my lovely purple dino's neck supported!

The broken flake was a last minute addition, it looked just... plain without it. I spied this in the back of our freezer and I'm SO GLAD it worked out! It looked fantastic! You should have heard the cafe staff when they saw it, they were staring at me all day while I was finishing it off!

My boss was in total awe, I was so proud that he was so impressed, not being able to do anything like that himself, he was amazed at what I could do without being taught any of it.

I hope my future cakes turn out as good as this one!

AHA. No, I'm not dying, you usually wish you were when you're sick but oh no, I just want to get back to work.

I'm not really worried, I mean, the worry is always there when a globe seems to fall into crisis, but heck, i've got a job to do xD; and it doesn't seem to have reached the whole zombie apocolypse type time yet. Eh.

I'll rug myself up, cover my mouth when I sneeze and cough, and I really want to get some of those masks but then I think people will give me weird looks on the train and bus... and handy dandy DETOL HAND DISSINFECTANT!

Hell, I work in the hospitality industry, we wash our hands ever 57 seconds anyway.

I'm pretty resourceful and know my stuff, but put me up against wild animals xD;

My throat feels like it's made of glass, I can't sleep on my sides because my ears ache so much, I can barely swallow anything, even water.

I've been living off lemonade iceblocks since Friday night D: Although I love Lemonade iceblocks, I really want a good decent solid meal! and dessert... I really wanted to make cheesecake brownies D: and Anzac biscuits!

By the way, Saturday was Anzac day, so all you Australians and New Zelanders keep in mind the diggers that fought for our countries!

At least I can go to the doctors tomorrow and hopefully get something to fix this D: .... and get to go back to sleep as soon as I get home from the doctors... Poor Laurence though, all that lavouche by himself D:

I'll probably miss TAFE on Tuesday too ;_______; I'm sad.
